The Neill Public Library in Pullman will kick off its Summer Reading Program on Saturday.
The theme this year is “All Together Now,” and will begin with a “Reading is Groovy” event at the library 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Leapin’ Louie Cowboy Comedy will perform.
On Tuesday, families can pick up activity bags for youth of all ages, according to a news release. The library will host a live performance by Roberto the Magnificent Stunt Show from 10:30 to 1 p.m.
Other events this week include:
— June 21: Mother Goose Storytime at 10:15 a.m., Preschool Storytime at 11 a.m., Tote Bag Decorating for elementary students at 1 p.m., Tote Bag Decorating for teens at 3 p.m.
— June 22: Storytime with Pullman Police Officers at 10:30 a.m., Popsicles on the Patio at 11 a.m.
The library will also hold a summer reading challenge, encouraging children to read books from 10 categories. Bookmarks can be picked up at the library, and once kids complete the challenge they can receive a prize.
The program has been funded by the Friends of Neill Public Library.
