The Washington State Patrol will conduct traffic safety emphasis patrols as Washington State University students travel during spring break.
District 4 troopers in Whitman and Adams counties, as well as District 6 troopers in Grant and Kittitas counties, will focus on speed, distracted or impaired driving and other collision-causing violations during the emphasis, according to a news release.
Drivers can expect to see an increased WSP presence on Washington State Routes 26 and 195, and Washington Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie Pass, according to the news release.
Motorists should monitor posted speed limits and be prepared for changing road and weather conditions. Troopers have no tolerance for people driving under the influence, according to the news release.
WSP’s main focus is to ensure everyone arrives at their destination safely and without incident, according to the news release.
