A memorial service for Brittany Inez Poesy, 21, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Potlatch Elementary School Gymnasium with Floyd and Nancy Turner officiating. Brittany died at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene on Jan. 28, 2016.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1995, in Moscow, to Russell and Tori (Michael) Poesy. She attended the Potlatch schools and graduated from the Potlatch High School in 2013. She moved to Coeur d'Alene to attend North Idaho College to get a degree in nursing. She was in her third year of school.
She loved music (especially Elvis), her friends and family. She loved spending time outdoors with Rowdy, her dog Cash and the Paul family.
Survivors include her parents, Russell and Cathi Poesy, of Potlatch; mother, Tori Poesy and Vern Fritsche, of Tensed, Idaho; one brother, James Buchanan, of Potlatch; a sister, Nadia (Jason) Elder, of Lewiston, and nephew Carson Elder; paternal grandparents, Sandy Poesy, of Potlatch, and Laureen Poesy (Don Berg), of Potlatch; maternal grandparents, Frank Michael, of Emida, Idaho, Bill and Nadine Dreisbach, of St. Maries; step-grandmother, Lynn Jacobs, of Massachusetts; aunt Gail (Al) Drelicharz, of Omaha, Neb.; Toni and Ralph Quigley, of St. Maries; Jackie and Brian McGregor, of St. Maries; uncle Randy and Marnie Poesy, of Potlatch, and cousin Logan Poesy. She was preceded in death by two uncles, Timmy Michael and Rod Poesy; and a grandmother, Doris Michael.
