Her Laugh will echo in the hearts of all who knew her and across the universe forever.
Cindy grew up in Arlington, Va., and graduated from Wakefield High in 1973. She moved to Moscow in the fall of 1976.
Moscow was a culture shock but she loved it immediately. Her irresistible laugh and joyous personality drew everyone to her and she made numerous lifelong friends.
Cindy worked in the Botany department at Washington State University until 1984. She was catcher on the ladies Budweiser softball team, bartender at the Plantation and partier extraordinaire.
She relocated to Albuquerque in 1984 where she met and married Junior “Silvestre” Vallez who preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2023. Cindy worked as a paralegal for several attorneys during her time in Albuquerque.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held in Moscow on Saturday, July 27, 2024; place and time to be determined.
