Eleanor Eng

Eleanor Eng passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2023. She was born on Aug. 13, 1942, in Seattle where she grew up and attended Franklin High School. Eleanor married Kenneth Eng on June 16, 1963, and the couple moved to Pullman in 1966.

Eleanor was a devoted housewife and caretaker. She was very active in the City of Pullman. Eleanor was an advisor for the Kappa Delta Sorority at Washington State University. She was president of the Pullman chapter of the P.E.O from 1979 to 1980 and Pullman Chamber of Commerce President in 1992. She also worked alongside her husband operating an Arby’s location in Pullman.

Later in life, Kenneth and Eleanor retired and moved to Redmond, Wash., to be close to their daughter and grandchildren. Eleanor had many interests and passions. She was an avid runner, dedicated Cougar fan, and loved to attend her grandson’s baseball games.

Eleanor is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Eng, her brothers Philip Lew and Edward Lew, her sister Rose Low, her daughter Tamela Wilsey, and grandchildren Kenny and Nicholas.

Services for Eleanor Eng will be held Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Bellevue, Wash. Reception to follow.
