James E. Forman, 82, of Moscow, met our Lord Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, in Moscow.

James “Jim” was born in Ellensburg, Wash., and attended school in Moses Lake. After serving our country for four years in the U.S. Army, his work relocated him to Moscow where he resided and raised his family. Jim spent the last 23 years with his wife, Sandy Forman. While Jim and Sandy did not raise each other’s children, they shared the births of many grandchildren born to their families and the pleasure they brought to them.

Jim spent his life working hard in the concrete and carpentry business. Everyone who knows him knows that he was “one tough man.” When he wasn’t working, Jim enjoyed fishing, camping and exploring the mountains around Elk River on his four-wheeler. In Moscow, Jim was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge.

Jim is survived by his wife Sandy Forman, children: Jamie Anderson, Jeremy Forman, Jackie Edinger and Scott Forman; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Eagles Lodge, 123 N. Main St., Moscow.
