OBITUARY: Beverly A. Ivins

Beverly Ann Ivins, 74, of Hatch, N.M., went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2009.

She was born Nov. 25, 1934, in Oakdale, Neb., to Herbert and Vava Landis. Beverly and her husband, Marvin, raised their family in Moscow before moving to Alaska until retirement. Upon retirement, she and her husband resided in Bovill for a few years. In 1997, they moved to Hatch, where she enjoyed cooking, painting, needlework, jewelry making and traveling with Marvin. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Hatch.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Marvin; daughter Terri Ann Loving and husband, Kent, of Snohomish, Wash., and two grandsons, Jason and Adam; son, Matthew James Ivins, and wife, Vivian, of Lewiston and three grandchildren, Kayla Hendren and husband, Eric, Clayton Childers and Sierra Lynn Ivins; daughter, Renee Ann Sliger, and husband, Bob, of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Rachel Lynn Tilman and Bethaney Sliger; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a sister, Cherrie Gullion, and husband, Drew, of Ceres, Calif.; and brother, Jerry Landis, and wife, Jackie, of Lafayette, Ind.

Memorial services were March 6 at First Baptist Church in Hatch with Pastor David White officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Tierra Blanca Ranch (High Country Youth Program) in care of the First Baptist Church, 421 Franklin St., Hatch, NM 87937 or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
