Jeffers

My sweet beloved wife, Lisa Michelle Jeffers, age 52, went home to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, Wash.

Lisa was born Aug. 16, 1965, in Kennewick, Wash., to Joseph and Dana (Michaels) Sexton. She attended Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane and pursued courses at Spokane Community College. One of her earliest jobs was at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Wash. She had a lifelong love of caring for all animals. Her beloved pets are her dog, Daisy, and her cats, Kitty, Bandit and Peppy.

Lisa married Tony R. Jeffers on June 5, 2006, at Palouse, Wash. The couple made their home at Palouse.

Lisa retired from Washington State University in 2012. This allowed her time to pursue her passionate love for her lord, Jesus Christ, going on mission trips to Mexico with her friends and missionaries, Sonya and Victor Mayoral. She taught Middle Sunday School class at Palouse Federated Church and volunteered at Care Net of the Palouse. She enjoyed serving meals at church, taking meals to friends' homes and inviting people over for dinner. She was a passionate cook who always made an effort to use organic ingredients in the hope of promoting a healthier lifestyle for her friends and family. It brought her great joy to be able serve others and witness the love of our lord, Jesus Christ.

Lisa enjoyed camping on the Saint Joe River with family, rock collecting, traveling, raising a strictly organic non-GMO garden, fellowshipping with other Christians and especially spending time with her friends, family and her cherished nephews and niece. She loved volunteering and fishing, and felt that learning something new daily was important for personal growth. It brought her great joy to give her time, love and important possessions to people she thought would enjoy them.
