Ryan Wolcott Bashor, 29, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, in Newport, Ore., following a very private battle with bipolar disorder.
Ryan was born and raised in Decatur, Ga., until he moved to Idaho where he met his wife, Rachael Goetzelman. He made countless friends while attending Druid Hills High School, Georgia Tech and the University of Idaho. After living in McCall and Moscow, Idaho, he settled in Newport, Ore., where he married and started a family.
He was a profoundly loving, generous and caring man who never knew a stranger. His beaming smile, warm laughter and stories filled any room he entered.
He is survived by his wife, Rachael Bashor; daughter, Jocie Bashor and a new son or daughter who will arrive later this year; his parents, Mark Bashor and Katie Bashor; younger sister, Jessie Bashor; a large extended family; and countless friends.
A celebration of the love he shared for his family and friends will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Newport, Ore., at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14.
