Paul Michael Farley, aka “Thumper,” passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at his home in Harvard. Paul was born on Aug. 24, 1960, to Russell and Esther Farley. Paul attended school at Potlatch, graduating in 1978. Paul welcomed his sons Tyson on Nov. 14, 1978, and Jamie on April 23, 1983. After graduating high school, Paul worked at Potlatch Forests Inc., sawmill and then decided to follow in his dad’s footsteps driving log truck until retirement. He enjoyed working for both Darby Logging and Lowry Trucking.
A one-of-a-kind man, who was larger than life, accomplished father and lover of all things nature brought his way. His passion for family flowed through his veins like the waters of the Palouse. A King Salmon in his own rights.
Paul is survived by his partner Vicki at the Harvard home, and her children Randi, Addie and Spencer. His sons Tyson Farley and Jamie Farley of Potlatch; sisters Debi Swinney, Linda Darby (Mark) and Terry Chambers (Chuck); best friends Steve Hayden and Tim Mantz. Every family should be blessed with an Uncle Paul, according to many nieces and nephews that loved him very much. Paul was preceded in death by father Russell Farley, mother Esther Farley, sister Mary Farley, brother-in-law Rick Swinney and nephew Jax McKinney.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at the Viola Cemetery. Lee Nicholson will officiate.
The Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Potlatch Fire and Ambulance, P.O. Box 63, Potlatch, ID 83855.
Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at kramercares.com.
