Born in Spokane, Wash., on Dec. 11, 1956, William R. Ogle Jr. passed away Sept. 3, 2012, at the family cabin on Diamond Lake.
Bill attended St. Augustine's grade school and graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1975. Bill was an outstanding athlete, lettering in both football and track/field while at Prep. He attended University of Idaho where he studied accounting. While at University of Idaho, he played rugby, which he loved. It enabled him to travel to Europe to play against many different European teams. He enjoyed many friendships and reunions through the years with his rugby teammates.
He began working at his brother-in-law's shoe repair business while in college and learned the trade quite well. He had his own shop in Moscow, Idaho, and later worked for Saad's Shoe Repair in Spokane for 26 years.
Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and photography. He loved spending time with his family at their cabin on Diamond Lake.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ogle, his brothers, his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his father, William Ogle Sr.; his sisters Sue (Bob) Moore of Spokane, Mollie (Leo) Ressa of Pullman; his nephews Chris Moore, Dan (Jerriann) Moore, Tim, Ryan and Josh Ressa; his grandnephews, Owen and Cayden; his aunt Peg; and numerous cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gonzaga Prep.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, and will be celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 428 W. 19th, Spokane. Inurnment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane.
