Urie doesn’t understand conservative stance
Ryan Urie continues to imply that he wants to understand conservatives and Trump supporters. However, his prior writings, his manifestations of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), his claiming to understand the conservative stance, when it is clear he does not, and his loaded questions that are not really addressing the key issues, lead me to believe that his questions are a setup to present his pre-determined stance.
The continued demonization of President Trump and demeaning rhetoric toward conservatives tells me that Ryan and many other Democrats have no intention of seeking unity unless it is on their terms. To me, Ryan appears to be fixated on his hate for President Trump and to be unwilling to consider the political truths needed to address the critical issues we face. As a Christian, I cannot support the Democratic Party platform with its anti-God, pro-abortion, open borders, let noncitizens vote and more. In addition, President Biden has failing health and his fixation on drastic economic measures based on specious science forecasting critical future climate change is a clear detriment to the future of this country.
Ryan and the media can speculate as to what Trump might do if elected again but it is only speculation. The key is what he did do in his presidency, even while being continually opposed and undermined by the swamp, the media and various foreign powers while battling COVID-19.
We were far better off under Trump than we now are under Biden. Trump’s first priority was what was good for this country and he consistently supported Israel. Biden does not appear to be seeking what is best for the U.S. and he has stabbed Israel in the back several times. I am all for seeking common goals but let’s base our decisions on the truth and prioritize what is critical.

Now they want us to ‘come together’?
So, Trump’s ear got a booboo. Sad. So now, the right wing, after years of divisive vitriolic calls for violence, imprisonment, hanging, deportations, religious indoctrination, abolishing Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, overtime pay, affordable health care, livable wages, human rights, education, environmental protections, common sense health care choices, and ethical standards for officials want us to “come together.”
So, although we know that Trump will use any power he gets to punish anyone who opposes him, up to the possible imprisonment or worse of his political opponents, appoint only right wing sycophants to positions in government, use his position to continue to chip away at the voting rights of citizens who are, shall we say, not pale skinned, force their religion onto children in public schools, continue to ensure that corporations and the wealthy will never pay taxes or be held accountable for any of their actions and work with the Christian nationalists to enact Project 2025 which will do away with democracy altogether and leave us in a Christian Taliban nightmare. But Trump’s ear has a booboo, sad.
So, before you vote for Trump’s ear, please consider the person the ear is attached to and all the damage he has done and will continue to do to America and her people.

Evangelical empowerment of Israel
Why is there today a modern state of Israel? I see no Biblical basis for it. But that this tiny country exists, and exerts enormous influence over world geopolitics, is indisputable. That the Israeli entity has most U.S. politicians and major power brokers totally enthralled, leaving most of them meekly subservient to Israeli interests, cannot be questioned. It’s just a fact of life. But why?
I have a theory, religious in nature. I tend to believe that American Evangelical Protestant Christians, millions and millions of them, enthusiastically support and empower Israel. Israel is a dominant force in the world largely because American Christians, by and large, fuel that dominance.
Many Protestant pastors and teachers have locked into an end-time teaching, given birth in the 19th century, which portrays the church as existing in a “6th Dispensation,” or a period of “grace.” It is otherwise referred to as “the age of the church.” This “Dipensationalist” concept was elucidated by copius notes contained in the once famous “Schofield Bible.” During the ‘40s and ‘50s, when I grew up, few Fundamentalist Protestant believers failed to carry one at all times.
Keep in mind that not one of the billions of Christians who lived and died during the first 1900 years of the church knew anything about the “6th Dispensation.” But today’s Christian Evangelicals are awash in the notion.
One of of the most important precepts of Dispensational thought is that the Jewish Diaspora must return to its ancient homeland. As millions of mostly American Protestant Evangelicals view it, the Jews should come back and reclaim their inalienable right to the Holy Land under the old Mosaic Covenant. Historically, the church has never recognized or taught such a right of return. But no matter. European Jewish Zionists took the matter in hand, and insisted that such a right existed. Now we know the rest of the story.
Hate-filled Israeli thuggery, with generous financial cooperation and moral support of those who worship a God of love, is busy cleansing Palestine from the last traces of “Amalek.”

No tears for Trump
I woke up this morning to an America falling even further apart than I thought possible. And I cried for what we have lost and what we are in danger of losing.
I cried for the family who lost their father to an assassin’s bullet at a Trump rally.
But I had no tears for Trump.
I cried for our justice system losing the rule of law, undermined by unethical judges who line their pockets and curry favor with Trump and his billionaire influencers.
You can bet your bottom dollar, I had no tears for Trump.
No tears for the years wasted worrying about what Trump said and what Trump did. No tears left wondering why he will not go away and leave us in peace. Wondering if and when Trump Trump Trump will disappear from the American psyche.
Then, the only thing left to do after a good cry was to say “Good morning” and roll up my sleeves to join the ranks of voters who are writing “Get the vote out” postcards and letters to other voters who also have no tears for Trump.
For each of us still has one precious vote, protected by the Constitution.
To protect our right to vote, come November, let our votes support democracy and the rule of law. The ballot box is our Normandy. With cheers of V for victory; and no tears, or votes, for Trump.
