Halt the labels and the hate

The Latah County Human Rights Task Force joins many other Human Rights organizations in recognizing the horrors of the deadly crisis currently taking place in Israel and Gaza. It is difficult to refrain from judgment in this appalling situation, but we must act with concern for all people facing violence, uncertainty and terror daily. Recognizing that every person has the right to live in peace, freedom and safety, we call on all leaders and those directly involved in actions and reactions to act quickly and strongly to help protect the innocent and vulnerable and to seek ways of achieving a just and lasting peace.

Here at home, let us all call for a halt to group labeling and hate. Antisemitism and Islamophobia are divisive and dangerous movements that spread hate and make matters worse.
