Paul Warnick, a horticulturalist for the University of Idaho arboretum, explains a xeriscaping project on Thursday during a water tour in Moscow. A new housing development is being built to the south of the group. Warnick's tour followed a morning of meetings for Idaho Water Resource Board at the Best Western Plus University Inn. The board members toured the water re-use program in Moscow at the wastewater plant and at the arboretum. Tyler Palmer from the city of Moscow and Evan Timar of the Moscow Public Works Deptartment addressed the board about the water-conservation program. The board is looking at long-term solutions for water supply in the Moscow-Pullman area.
