Vale Pate, shown painting "Steptoe Butte Late Afternoon," was recently named the winner of the "Best Palouse" category of the Palouse Plein Air exhibition. A contest to identify the best entries in the annual exhibition was organized by the city of Moscow and Moscow Arts Commission.
