A 3-year-old child suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon after falling from a moving tractor and being struck by a fertilizer applicator in a field near Endicott.

Deputies from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Endicott Fire Department responded to a report that the child had fallen from the tractor when a side door the child was leaning against inadvertently opened.
The child was flown via Life Flight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.
