PULLMAN — The 60-year-old male who was found dead in a Pullman structure fire last month died from smoke inhalation, according to Whitman County Coroner Annie Pillers.

Steven Paul Sargent was found dead Dec. 31 inside a small structure on the 400 block of Northeast Maple Street in Pullman.

Firefighters contained the fire and turned over the death investigation to Pillers. She announced Monday that the manner of death is an accident.
