A Washington State University football player will appear in Whitman County District Court next week to answer misdemeanor vandalism charges stemming from a March 4 incident on campus.
A cell phone video allegedly depicting him urinating in an elevator and damaging a paper towel dispenser were shown to police after another individual saw it on Snapchat, a social media site.
Freshman defensive back D’Jimon Jones, then 18, is accused of urinating in a Northside Residence Hall elevator and damaging a paper towel dispenser in the same building.
Jones has not been arrested. Charges were released by the Whitman County prosecutor’s office Wednesday setting a June 8 arraignment.
Police had been in contact with Jones the early hours of March 4 due to his level of intoxication, the release said.
