A bomb technician from the Spokane Bomb Squad carries a pole used to move pipe bombs while getting ready to deal with a small bomb in Moscow Wednesday.

Moscow police responded to a report of a suspicious device believed to be an explosive at about 2:15 p.m. at the Robinson Mobile Home Court.

The Spokane Bomb Squad arrived on scene at about 5:30 p.m. and destroyed the device, which appeared to be a pipe bomb.

Some residents were evacuated from the court but no one was injured.

Moscow Police Department Capt. Roger Lanier said a maintenance worker reportedly discovered the device, which was similar to a “big M-80 wrapped in electrical tape with a fuse,” inside a residence.

The investigation is ongoing.
