Marie Eier, 97

Anna Marie Eier, of Lewiston, will celebrate her 97th birthday Monday by providing birthday cake to all the seniors in her exercise class and at a family dinner that afternoon.

She was born May 20, 1927, in Sandpoint to J.B. and Opal Whitehead. She attended Sandpoint High School and then Lewis- Clark Normal School (now Lewis-Clark State College) in Lewiston where she graduated as a registered nurse. She then went to work at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lewiston.

She was married to Frank Biddiscombe, of Lewiston, and they had two daughters and a son. They were later divorced.

Though she enjoyed her work at the hospital, especially the nursery, to secure regular work hours, she later went to work for Dr. John Braddock.
