Today (Veterans Day)

Ruck for the Fallen — 7:30 a.m. Uniontown Community Center on South Washington Street, Uniontown. Will end at noon at the Veterans’ Memorial Park in Pullman. Sixteen miles in total. Winter Market — 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow. Free to attend. Artisan goods across three floors.

Scouting for Food Campaign — 9 a.m. Pullman. Pullman Scouts will be collecting food drive donations. Donations can be bagged and left by the front door for collection.

Power of Voice Documentary screening — 4:30 p.m. Goertzen Hall 21, WSU, Pullman. Viewing of the ESPN Documentary “Listen” about Lauren McCluskey, a 21-year-old student-athlete and Pullman High School graduate who was murdered on the University of Utah campus in 2018.

“Trailer Park America” Book launch — 6-8 p.m. Great Room, 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow. University of Idaho sociologist Leontina Hormel will present her research for her book “Trailer Park America: Reimagining Working-Class Communities.” Copies will be for sale and all royalties will be donated to Sojourners Alliance of Moscow.

Wednesday

District 6 Preview — 6-7:30 p.m. Lecompte Auditorium, 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow. Representatives Lori McCann and Brandon Mitchell will discuss the upcoming session. Organized by the League of Women Voters of Moscow.

Thursday

Foley Speaker Series — Noon, Foley Speakers Room, Bryan Hall, WSU, Pullman. Brian Henning of Gonzaga University will discuss people’s relationship with the planet in the face of climate change.

All About Apples — 5:30-7 p.m. The Center, Colfax Library, 102 S. Main St., Colfax. Kaitlyn Thornton, a student at WSU will talk about her family’s apple orchard in Tonasket, Wash., and the growing process and benefit of apples in Washington.

“Pocket Prairies” — 7 p.m. Lecompte Auditorium, 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow. Executive director of the Phoenix Conservancy Chris Duke will give a presentation on pocket prairies for native plants.
