One person is dead following a two-vehicle wreck on State Route 129 between Clarkston and Asotin early Tuesday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a red Honda Civic crossed the centerline about 3 miles south of Clarkston, between Critchfield Road and 13th Street. The driver of the car died at the scene, and troopers plan to release the name today.

The car collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Hayden Deeds, 25, of Lewiston. He has been taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

The Honda was headed toward Clarkston, and the SUV was going south toward Asotin, when the accident occurred around 1 a.m.
