Thanks for the help

Thank you to the Good Samaritan who plowed us out on Jan. 12 as we live on State Route 195. You are very much appreciated.

Shame on UI

(It is) absolutely shameful for the University of Idaho to silence the women on the volleyball team.

“Coach” Andre Christopher Gonzales, Athletic Director Terry Gawlik and Dean of Students Blaine Eckles should resign immediately. You have failed your athletes and students.

Traffic question

Does anyone know if it is legal to jump the line at a four-way stop sign to make a right hand turn? I’ve seen this quite a few times, especially at the four way stop by Safeway, and it seems to confuse the flow of traffic.

Narcan, condoms

The Narcan dispensary boxes (in Moscow) are a good idea, but does their outdoor storage cause any issues? Narcan can still be used by thawing after being frozen, but prolonged high temperatures will degrade it, leading to reduced efficacy. The boxes also contain condoms, which likewise shouldn’t be stored at extreme temperatures. Perfect shouldn’t be the enemy of the good, especially when it comes to public health policy, but appropriate storage should be considered when lives are at stake.

WHO agreement is a concern

Currently before Congress is an act that would radically change the U.S. government in many ways.

It is called the WHO Pandemic Preparedness agreement. Under this proposed agreement nameless, unelected bureaucrats would be given the authorization to make major decisions. This act was originally introduced as a “treaty,” but President Biden changed it to an “agreement” so that it could be fully passed by the House without the approval of the Senate. This act would greatly erode our freedom and our national sovereignty.

There is a public comment period about this issue which extends until Jan. 22. You may email a comment to, OGA.RSVP@hhs.gov with the subject line, “Written Comment Re: Implications and Access of Benefit Sharing (ABS) Commitments/Regimes and Other Proposed Commitments in the WHO Pandemic Agreement.”
