Jojo Osborn, of Genesee, won the Junior Division of the Idaho Make It with Wool contest held here Nov. 18.
Osborn, a Genesee High School freshman, made a lined, plaid 100% Pendleton wool jacket featuring a front zipper, pockets and waistline drawstring. She has been awarded a trip to the National Make It with Wool Contest in Denver in January, and also won Pendleton fabric and sewing tools, according to a news release.
Rebekah Kasperson, of Sandpoint, won the Senior Division of the contest. Kasperson created a lined coat using a dark gray plaid wool fabric, stitched a 100% wool black pair of pants and hand-knit a sweater using 100% mohair yarn. She also won a trip to the national contest and was awarded Pendleton fabric and sewing tools.
The Junior Division is for ages 13-16 years old and the Senior Division contestants are 17-24 years old.
The Idaho Wool Growers Association sponsors the state contest and covers the expenses for the national contest.
